About
After obtaining a dual degree in both Biochemistry and Mathematics, I worked as a chemist (Yes, I know!). I have held positions with The Harlem Children’s Zone, The City College of New York, The Learning Annex (as a speaker), and CARD, among several other places. After becoming infinitely bored with my job (as a chemist), I decided to try my hand in education and I fell in love. After going through the entire NYS licensing fiasco, earning my masters degree in childhood and special education, and after becoming frustrated enough with the very ridiculous bureaucracy also known as the “school system”, I started Urbane Academics, and I haven’t looked back since.
I take a tremendous amount of pride in the work that I do and I love seeing the children I work with improve.
